This colourful and unique piece by Betty Paruch is evidence of Betty's creativity and skill with the handmade craft of rug hooking.
Betty began her love of crafting over 40 years ago. After trying everything from crocheting and knitting to quilting and lampshade making, she began rug hooking. Betty has attended many rug workshops and schools and has studied with a variety of teachers. She is a member of the Down East Rug Hooking Guild and Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and has taught at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design. Her most recent venture in craft is needle felting, creating whimsical ornaments.
