Carmen the Fairy by Molly Ritchie

Carmen is a hand-knit fairy by artist Molly Ritchie of Baddeck. Carmen the fairy loves flamenco dancing and uses the red feathers of cardinals to decorate her dress.

Molly Ritchie makes knitted and crocheted fantasy creatures including fairies, unicorns, dragons and mermaids. She also makes seahorses, crabs, fish and flying pig fridge magnets, as well as crocheted dreamcatchers, mandalas and bracelets. Ritchie is a member of the Baddeck Quilters Guild and her creations have appeared in their shows. Ritchie enjoys working with unusual and hand-dyed yarns.
