Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by Molly Ritchie
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is a hand-knit fairy doll by artist Molly Ritchie inspired by the song of the same name from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles. Lucy has hair made from hand-dyed 'Celtic Colours' yarn from Fleece Artist in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The girl with kaleidoscope eyes also has crocheted kaleidoscope mandala wings.
Molly Ritchie makes knitted and crocheted fantasy creatures including fairies, unicorns, dragons and mermaids. She also makes seahorses, crabs, fish and flying pig fridge magnets, as well as crocheted dreamcatchers, mandalas and bracelets. Ritchie is a member of the Baddeck Quilters Guild and her creations have appeared in their shows. Ritchie enjoys working with unusual and hand-dyed yarns.
