Carol Beaton has been involved in the craft sector for over 30 years. She operated a craft business for 13 years before becoming an arts administrator where she was inspired daily by the creativity of Cape Breton artisans. Following her retirement, Beaton returned to her passion for fabric arts. Having nurtured her creative soul as a weaver and quilter, Beaton is now fascinated by the creative possibilities that rug hooking presents. Interested in abstract and contemporary design, she is inspired by the landscapes of Cape Breton Island and the work of the Impressionists.
